Livery Services

Here at Shaw Farm Liveries we incorporate a very high level of care that is run in accordance to the BHS standards; experience and knowledge to ensure every horse and owner has access to the best quality of services; from regular farriery and veterinary visits, dental check ups and physiotherapy sessions. We also have the added luxury of having Equissage massage therapy system available on a weekly basis or as frequently as required.

We offer first class facilities and individual care to you and your horse. The horses at SFL are looked after as well as our own. This ensures you spend more time enjoying your horse and less time worrying about its needs, giving you the much needed escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, giving you one less thing to think about.

Our livery services can be personalised to your individual requirements which will suit every type of horse and rider, SFL caters for anything from top competition horses through to happy hackers. Any type of horse and rider is welcome on our yard. 

Livery Plans

The Livery service we offer can be individually designed to best suit you and your horse, however each livery plan is based around our basic livery:

Basic Livery Plan - Between £75.00 - £85.00 per week for all of the below plus ALL our wonderful facilities including the Indoor Arena:

Hay given throughout the day as required per individual horse 
Mucked out daily
Skipped out throughout the day
Daily turn out (Mon - Fri) when weather permits (Nov - March grazing limited)
Rugs changed
Horses feet washed and picked out
All hard feed, bedding and haylage supplied
Use of all facilities free of charge 
Wormer administered
Veterinary, farriery and dentistry appointments organised and supervised

If you wish for your horse to then receive regular training/schooling then we will tailor a livery plan accordingly. Anything is possible, from lunging, hacking, schooling, long reinging; you name it we do it!


Schooling/Breaking Livery now available

Basic full livery, plus daily training for your horse and individual training
plan for each horse and owner

We will plan a work regime to suit yourself and your horses needs,
from groundwork through to competition training. We work the horses in a
sensitive, steady maner and treat each horse as an individual. We never
rush youngsters, they will be ready when they are ready! We usually base
schooling livery on 6-8 weeks, however short or long term livery plans are available.

As Schooling/Breaking livery, Plus:

Advertisment and Selling of your horse.

Let us take the stress out of selling your horse,
we will deal with all the calls, viewings, vettings and transport.

Holiday Livery

Why not let your horse have a holiday too? While your away you could chose an
individual livery programme to suit your horse. Let him stay with us to wind down
and enjoy our relaxed yard environment. Or maybe put him into a fitness regime of
your choice. We cater for all needs.

 

Retirement Livery

The quiet relaxed atmosphere at SFL might be just what your horse needs in his twilight years.

Rehabilitation Livery 

SFL might be just what your horse needs to help get him back to his best.

We will work alongside your vets, physiotherapists,
nutritionalist and yourselves to plan a rest or work regime and an individual turnout
plan to suit. We cater for both short and long term cases, and post operative patients,
with full box rest and regular treatments and nursing available, or a tailored turnout and
work regime to bring your horse back to his optimum. Use of all the facilities including
the horse walker and solarium, which these alone have been invaluable for helping
horses on the road to recovery.

Additional Services

We try to cater for all your needs, we like to think we can do anything you may want.
Just ask and we will do our best to accomodate, we do all clipping, exercising,
trimming up, show preparation.

Transport also now available. Call for a quote.

Arena Hire

The arena is available for individual or group hire. For events/ demos take advantage
of the seated gallery area (Outdoor). Hire of Show Jumps is also available, there is plenty of
parking for trailers and horseboxes, please call Esther for more info.
Prices start at £10.00/hour.


Equissage

Clients at Shaw Farm Liveries can now benefit from the Equissage Horse Massage Therapy System, which can be hired or built into your 'Individual Livery Plan'. Further information is available on our Equissage page.

Equine Massage

Jude Furniss - Equine massage practisioner now based at SFL and is available for treatment of our liveries horses and visiting horses. Jude treats all our competition horses and they have thrived from regular massage sessions. Check out www.judefurnissmassage.co.uk.
